Mrs. Alfie Davis' Obituary
Alfie Lee Davis was born March 9, 1921 in the Mississippi Delta to Arthur and Mary Davis. She was one of eighteen beautiful children. Ms. Davis lived her childhood in Mississippi and most of her adult life in Memphis, TN. She gave birth to one son, Willie Lee Davis, who died when he was less than one year old. There were others that looked up to her as Mother whom she loved and nurtured. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, TN for 35 years, where she served faithfully, never missing Sunday School and Church untill her illness. Ms Davis worked for Judy K. Hyde-Smith and retired at the young age of 80. Her dutiful service to Judy, Allen (Bo), and Kendall endeared her to their family. Ms Davis is survived by her nieces Ann Lane, Eva Grimm, nephew Jimmy Davis and other loving family members, friends, and special friends God-Sister Ida M.
