Albert Cook's Obituary
ALBERT A. COOK, 89, retired master plumber, born March 8, 1921 in Memphis, died January 11, 2011 at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Friday, January 14, and Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 15, all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery. Truly a passionate family man, Mr. Cook served in the Pacific Theatre with the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a member of the Scottish Rite, and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was owner of the Albert Cook Plumbing Company for over 55 years. He was a former member of Colonial Baptist Church, avid fisherman, bowler and motorcycle enthusiast. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanora A. Cook. He leaves five children, Wayne Cook and his wife, Diane of Collierville, Robert R. Cook and his wife, Tamara of Memphis, Perry Cook and his wife, Sally of Olive Branch, MS, Patty Nelius and her husband, Eddie of Germantown, and Gary Cook and his wife, Lori of Cordova; three sisters, Rebecca Bobbitt, Annie Armstrong, and Christine McNeil; one brother, Richard A.
