Al R. Watson's Obituary
AL R. WATSON, 78, of Olive Branch, MS, went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2014 after a long illness. He leaves three sons: Steve of Memphis and former daughter-in-law Karen, Larry and his wife Janet of Olive Branch, MS and Doug of Nashville, TN. Al was a devoted husband of 47 years and was preceded in death by his wife Elsa, and a grandson, Tyler. He was a loving grandfather and will be missed by six grandchildren, Grant of Las Vegas, NV, Reed of Memphis, Allie, Natalie, Mackenzie and Hollie of Olive Branch, MS. He also leaves his brother, Ray Watson and his wife Ann of Hilton Head, SC. Al was a long-time member and former Minister of Finance at Broadway Baptist in Olive Branch, MS. He had a loving and kind spirit that guided both young and old with his devotion to God throughout the community. Visitation will be 1 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 11 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family has requested that any memorials be directed to the “as needed fund” at Broadway Baptist Church.
