Agnes Ann Moore's Obituary
Agnes Ann Moore, 85, a Memphis native and lifelong resident of the city, passed away at Methodist Hospice Residence on Dec. 30th, 2017, after a brief illness. A 1950 St. Agnes Academy graduate, Ms Moore had in her youth contemplated the religious life and had also considered the theatre before deciding on a career in education. She spent many years as a beloved teacher at the Campus School at the University of Memphis, and stayed in touch with many former students. Among her interests were bowling and University of Memphis Tiger sports, especially basketball. Ms Moore loved her family and was fond of cooking for family gatherings; Ms Moore also loved her Church and was an active member of St. James Parish until her health began to decline. She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes K. Moore and Ernest V. Moore Sr and recently by her older brother, Ernest V. Moore Jr. She is survived and will always be loved and missed by her brother, Robert L. Moore and numerous cousins and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with the service to follow at 11:30 a.m. All services will be held at Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
