Aelcidean Stewart's Obituary
Aelcidean Lincoln Stewart, 92, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Stewart grew up near Maysville, Missouri and attended business school in St. Joseph, Missouri. She had a life-long career in accounting and spent 25 years with the Holiday Inn Corporation, retiring in 1985, and an additional 25 years devoted to family businesses. Mrs. Stewart was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church and Wesley Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold William Stewart; her brother, J.W. Lincoln; and her grandson, Ralph Robinson Hale, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Stewart Hale of Marion; her sister, Jean Aberle of Troy, Kansas; her brother, Dean Lincoln of Maysville, Missouri; two grandsons, Matthew Stewart Hale and Jay William Hale; and seven great-grandchildren, Trip Hale, Elaine Hale, Jake Hale, Haley Hale, Julia Hale, Harris Hale, and Joseph Hale, all of Marion, Arkansas. Services will be held at Memorial Park on Poplar. Memorial may be sent to Christ United Methodist Church, 4488 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38117, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
