Adam F. Pongetti's Obituary
Adam F. Pongetti, 89, of Memphis TN passed away on September 5, 2022. Mr. Pongetti was born December 6, 1932 in Shelby, MS to Jetulio Victor and Amelia Avaltroni Pongetti. He served his Country in the U.S. Army and was the founder, President and CEO of Pongetti Construction Corporation for many years before retiring. He leaves to cherish his memory, 3 sons, Christopher Adam Pongetti of Memphis, TN, John Frederick Pongetti of Inlet Beach, FL and Michael David Pongetti of Memphis, TN. Mr. Pongetti leaves one sister, Delores Pongetti of Boynton Beach, FL, and two brothers, Jetulio Victor Pongetti (Rita) of Albuquerque, NM, Raymond Pongetti (Mitzi) of Placentia, CA, two sisters-in-law, Dorothea Pongetti of Houston, TX, Vicki Bachechi of Albuquerque, NM and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Pringle and Lillian Pongetti, three brothers, Robert Gene Pongetti, Anthony Pongetti and Charles Pongetti. Adam was an avid gardener and could grow anything as long as he had soil and sunlight. Adam was often quoted as saying “that garden keeps me alive.” He held steadfast to his convictions and beliefs. He excelled academically, was an avid reader, and an excellent cook.
Funeral services for Mr. Pongetti will be on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm inThe Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
