Adair Godman Morris' Obituary
Adair Godman Morris, 90, was born February 4, 1921. A daily communicant at St. Louis Catholic Church and the matriarch and prayer warrior of her family, Adair lived a full and loving life until she died October 17, 2011. She was predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 56 years, Dr. Joe Hall Morris. As sister, she leaves Billie Brantley; as “Mom,” she leaves five children, Dr. Graham Morris (Ruth), Dr. Dwight Morris (Cathy), Carol Walker, Dr. Marion Burton (Dave), and Adair Parthenais (Bob); and as “Granner,” she leaves 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 19 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be said 10 a.m., Thursday, October 20 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 South White Station Road. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to St. Louis Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
