Aaron Masur's Obituary
Aaron Thomas Masur, 27, of Memphis, TN died January 14, 2012 after a long struggle. Aaron was the loving son of Dr. Frank T. Masur and Dr. Linda M. Vierling. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Lena Masur and Elise Masur; grandfather, Robert Vierling; aunts; uncles; cousins; and a host of friends throughout the country. Aaron was a genuine thinker with degrees in physics, chemistry, and philosophy. He had a penetrating mind that never stopping questioning. At an intellectual level Aaron was fascinated by the interconnection between theoretical physics and philosophy. At a practical level he was a devoted lover of stray dogs and is directrly responsible for finding homes for the many pets he leaves behind. Bear, Earnest. and Nana, are in many ways living testaments to his kindness. As a tribute to Aaron’s memory and all of the dogs that he would have saved, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to no-kill animal shelters. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service to be held Saturday January 21, 2012 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at The Shelby Farms Visitor Center.
