Quentin E. “Buddy” Finley, 75, was born in Memphis, Tennessee on July 24, 1944 to Robbie and Dr. Eugene Finley and passed away in Memphis on March 7, 2020. He was dearly loved by everyone who know him, bringing cheer and a great sense of humor. Buddy leaves behind his beloved wife of thirty-two years, Judy, with whom he belonged to the Memphis Carnival Krewe of Sphinx, a son, Quentin Finley III (Minako), two daughters, Cathy Wilhite and Sonya Chamberlin (Chad), three grandsons, Kaleb Crabtree, Brandon (Kate) and Logan Norman, three granddaughters, Madisen Chamberlin, Lena Finley and Lisa Finley, three sisters, Robbie Jean Billings (Charlie), Lucy Beckman (Gary) and June Edwards (Jim), a brother, David Finley (Nadine) and his beloved German Shepherd, Harley, whom he called “son”. Buddy was a master plumber with Plumbers Local Union 17 for over fifty years, he loved Alabama football, University of Memphis football and basketball, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and playing guitar. He was a good Christian man, preparing to join the Catholic Church and will be dearly missed. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 11 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Church of the Holy Spirit, 2300 Hickory Crest Drive in Memphis. Funeral Mass will also be at the church the following day, Thursday, March 12 at 11:00 am. The committal rite will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
