There are truly no words to express this lost , it’s definitely a hard pill to swallow losing one of our Tigers is indescribable however the person that he was wouldn’t want us to shed tears, rather dust off and move forward for him. Thanks for the laughs and great moments. Until we meet again

Great individual with a lot of determination and grit. He will be missed by all those he interacted with.
I didn’t know Jeremy, but his Dad was my 7th and 8th grade teacher at Holy Rosary. My heart is broken for him. Prayers for Coach Scruggs and all who are suffering in this sad time.
Throughout my highschool years at CBHS Jeremy was the legend that roamed the halls. He was athletically gifted and a humble soul. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. I pray you rest in piece and look forward to seeing you again!
Do you believe in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection? The prospect of being reunited with our loved ones who have died is appealing, to say the least. But is it realistic to nourish such a hope? To help answer that, we do well to consider the example of the apostles of Jesus Christ. The apostles firmly believed in the resurrection of the dead. Why? For at least two reasons. First, their hope was primarily based on this fact: Jesus himself had been raised from the dead. The apostles—and “more than 500 brothers at one time”—saw the resurrected Jesus. (1 Corinthians 15:6) Additionally, Jesus’ resurrection was widely attested to and accepted, as the four Gospels show.—Matthew 27:62–28:20; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-53; John 20:1–21:25
You will be missed, Jeremy. Thank you for all the kindnesses you showed me and many others in your life. May you rest in peace.
We graduated together at CBHS back in 1995. Jeremy was a class guy and a great athlete. I was in the U of M band the year Jeremy and the Tigers upset Peyton Manning and the Vols. So hard to believe you are gone my friend. Rest in Peace my friend.
My deepest, most sincere sympathies to the entire Scruggs family, and especially, Jeremy’s parents and daughter, Lea. Memphis has lost another legend, and all of us who grew up in and graduated from the schools in the area during those same years have lost a friend. With heartfelt condolences, – Cortney S.
