James Kenny (Ken) Ingram, 77, of Memphis, TN, passed peacefully from this life on October 4, 2021, after a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carol Buffington Ingram, sisters Amogene (Harry) Simpkins and Teri (Tim) Key, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who all adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Curtis Ingram and Sarah Frances (Johnson) Ingram; two brothers, Marion and Maurice Ingram; and one sister, Yoe Yeaner Janes. Born in Noxapater, Mississippi, Ken spent most of his life in Memphis. He was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Beale Air Force Base in Marysville, California. Following his military service, Ken attended the University of Memphis and pursued a career in information technology. He retired from Inventory Locator Services, the world’s most dynamic aerospace parts marketplace, in 2000. Ken’s passions in life were his family and close friends, traveling, golf, gardening, and long walks. He loved to see the beauty of this country and his favorite travel destinations were Montana, Wyoming, Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Mulberry, Florida. He brought joy and love to those who knew him and will be missed terribly. A memorial service will be held at a future time to be determined. Those wishing to honor Ken’s life may make a donation in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a children’s charity of their choice
