Jacqueline (Jackie) Rita Kassinger Alsobrook, 95, of Memphis, TN passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on July 19, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born January 7, 1925 in Corning, AR. At a young age her family moved to Wynne, AR where she lived until she graduated from high school. She attended a business college in St. Louis, MO. After business college, she moved to Memphis and worked for the Army Corps of Engineers where after 35 years she retired as Chief of Recruitment and Placement. She was active in Zonta, Meals on Wheels, Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities, Rosary Circle of the Ave Maria Guild, and Home Engineers. She was a long-time member of the Wynne, AR Presbyterian Church, attended St. Michael Catholic Church with her husband and upon his passing joined Shady Grove Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling worldwide, music and dancing. She was an avid daily reader of the Commercial Appeal and read her bible daily. She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal (Kay) Moore Kassinger and Charles Lester Kassinger; her husband of 49 years, Louis N. Alsobrook; and her brother, Charles K. Kassinger. She is survived by her sister, Nema K. Cockrell of Wynne, AR; son, Stephen Alsobrook DDS (wife, Ruth) of Memphis; beloved grandson, Patrick Alsobrook (wife, Jessa) of Austin, TX; nephews, Wayne Cockrell (wife, Ann) of Sinking Spring, PA, and Ken Kassinger, (wife, Suzie) of Richmond Hills, GA; and her niece, Kay Kassinger of Port Angeles, WA. We would like to thank Monica McNeal and the entire staff of Senior Care Management Solutions for caring for her in her home. A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to Shady Grove Presbyterian Church, Church Health Center or charity of their choice.
