I loved Tony and Bettie Austin. Both were generous, loving people. Many memories at their house, at church, on youth trips and one very special memory is the two of them dancing on roller skates in perfect synchronized movements to the music. They were so talented. Tony was good at most anything he tried. Losing Bettie was devastating for Tony, the kids and scores of friends. Today I send love and sympathy to Debbie, Tina, Marty and Gilbert and all the family. I will never forget the Austin’s.

We at Balmoral Baptist Church enjoyed the blessing of knowing Tony Austin and the times he shared his joy in Jesus through songs that resonated from his heart as well as his voice. He confessed faith in Jesus as Lord and we know for certain in the grace of our Lord that we will sing with him again.

How can I start? My Christian deacon brother at Beverly Hills and Cherokee. Best bloop pitcher in slow pitch softball. In golf, he’d ask me if I inhale or exhale on my backswing. He was always getting a new driver to hit the ball further. Repaired my house. Made life more enjoyable. One of my Dad’s best friends. And was married to one of my favorite people in the whole world and he really missed Betty but not any longer. So very sorry to all the family but you have rich memories to hang on to and a heritage of salvation to pass on to successive generations. Tony and Betty loved the Lord and are both there with Jesus now. Way to go Tony. Mike Rhea
