My good friend “Bear” was a mountain of a man with a heart to match. He loved and cared for his family. He was one of the most respected pilots at FedEx and in our Naval Reserve squadron. He cared about heritage—he would bring WWII vet, 95 year old Rusty Yetter, to our Association of Naval Aviation (an organization Bill led for a while) meetings. Bill was always concerned for others and his humorous wit made him approachable.
“Bear” loved music, loved playing the base. He never forgot his roots in New Orleans; I loved hearing him talk about working on a shrimp boat, playing football, and growing up in the big easy.
Claire and Chrissy, we share your loss. Steve and Betsy
