Twenty four years ago, our daughter was a sixth grader at Colonial Middle School. Dr. Momany was her piano teacher from sixth grade through eighth grade. Katherine, our daughter, absolutely loved her. When Katherine went on to high school and college, she kept up with Dr. Momany. In fact, they maintained communication with each other even through this summer. Dr. Momany let Katherine know about her receiving the GMMTA Teacher of the Year Award. I am so thankful for Dr. Momany's influence on Katherine. Katherine majored in piano pedagogy in college and is now teaching piano in Ohio.

My heartfelt condolences to Ms. Shelly and family at this time.
Dr. Momany was the kindest soul and she inspired me to be diligent and hardworking. Whenever she came to my office to file her taxes, her cheerful spirit made the environment lively and exciting. She was amazing to me, and I won’t ever forget her contagious laugh. I was fortunate enough to have her in my life and so grateful for her trust, warmth, kindness, love, and laughter. She spread joy wherever she went, and it was an honor to know her.

We are very sorry about Dr Momany's decline in health, as well as her passing. She had been my neighbor for the last 18 years, and for Marilyn, much longer. She was such a funny and direct little lady. Marilyn and I will miss her much...and her leftovers and desserts. Ha! I know that Heaven gained another great professional pianist.
