Robert "Bobby" Joseph Babb

Robert “Bobby” Joseph Babb, passed away on February 2, 2021 after a long illness. Bobby was born on October 16, 1947 in Memphis, Tennessee to William “Joe” Babb and Elizabeth “Betty” Babb. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School and attended University of Memphis. He started his career in the family business at Delta Painting/United Specialties Company before starting his own business, Robert J. Babb Painting Company. Bobby’s passions included golf, cars, and martial arts, were he achieved Black Belt Status, and was an instructor at Kang Rhee Institute. He was also a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. His smile lit up a room along with his great sense of humor. Bobby loved his family and friends and he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Babb. Bobby is survived by his father, William Joe Babb; his sister, Jo Ann Adler (Justin); nephew, Michael Marshall, Jr. (Emily); niece, Leslie Marshall Fiala (Blake); and four great nephews, Griffin, William, Henry Marshall, and Sam Fiala; and his special friend, Teresa Briggs. A family graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or charity of donor’s choice.
