James "Jimi" Huguley Jr.
December 6, 1960 - February 28, 2022
James Eldred Huguley Jr, 61, of Calhoun City, Mississippi sadly passed away on February 28, 2022 surrounded by his loving daughters Kayla, Courtney, Amanda and mother of his children D’Ann. Jimi “Redbone” Huguley was born to Mary Josephine and James Huguley on December 6, 1960. Growing up, Jimi had an incredibly complex childhood, losing both of his parents at a young age. This would go on to shape his life as an adult and would inspire him to be a devoted and loving father. Jimi was not one for formal education, leaving high school early to join the workforce and be the free spirit we all know. He learned on the job skills as a roofer and then obtained a job in printing for First Tennessee Bank without actually holding the degree needed for the position. He was a smooth talker. The bank is where his smooth talking led him to meeting and marrying D’Ann, gaining two wonderful bonus sons, and eventually having three daughters together. He found joy in being a dad to five children and becoming Pepops to eight grandchildren. The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Jimi. He loved hanging out with friends, working on and riding his motorcycles, watching his favorite soap operas during the week and Nascar or football on weekends. He enjoyed jamming out to his favorite bands and singers, Motley Crue, Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy, to name a few. His outgoing personality was contagious to everyone he met, and he never met a stranger. Jimi is survived by his children Justin (Sarah) Smith, Tyler (Dhey) Smith, Kayla (Corey) Wilson, Courtney Huguley and Amanda (Ethan) Stobaugh. He leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Kloe, Jay, Abby, Aiden, Natalie, Anayah, Marley, Zoe. We mourn the loss of our favorite redhead and encourage any and all who knew and loved him to remember the laughs he brought to this world with his corny jokes. Please join us in remembrance of Jimi’s life with visitation on Wednesday, March 9 from 11am-12pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN with a graveside service to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery (Midtown Location), 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd, Memphis, TN at 12:30pm. In the wise words of Jimi, “I’m glad you got to see me.” We are too, dad. To view Mr. Huguley's Memorial Tribute Video.
