James R. 'Jim' Burch, Jr. Born on March 25, 1931, James Romanous Burch Jr. flew Home to join his Creator on January 11, 2022. He was ninety years old. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he was preceded in death by his parents James and Helen Burch, and his two wives, Theresa (Lawrence) and Lucille (Ray), and his stepson Larry Lawrence. He is survived by his two sisters, Ann Burch and Sr. Joyce Burch, his cousins Bobby and May Harris, and Judy Delaney, his first wife Karen Morris, her son Jesse, his sister-in-law Nancy Madlock, his brother-in-law Don Vestal (Gladys), his step daughter-in-law Betty (Lawrence) and her four children, and his son James R. 'Jimmy' Burch, III of Southaven, MS, with whom he resided. He attended St. Bernard Preparatory School in Cullman, Alabama, Jim held a variety of occupations, notably as a manager for J. G. Schmidt & Son Sporting Goods, and the owner of two businesses, B&M Services and Criterion, retiring at age eighty-five when only ill health prevented him from working and living on his own. He was a kind, generous, friendly gentleman, a devout Roman Catholic, a caring and devoted husband and father, and a warm, humorous human being, beloved by family and friends everywhere. There will be a viewing for Jim at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 18th, at Christ The King Catholic Church in Southaven, MS. He will be interred at Calvary Cemetary, in Memphis, Tennessee.
