Harold D. Byrd

Mr. Harold Dean Byrd 81 of Collierville passed away on October 22, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Byrd was born October 2, 1940 in Lavinia, TN to the late Chester and Janie Fewell Byrd. He retired from Delta Airlines in 1994 and Lowes in 2021 where he served in various capacities. He had a flair for customer service and had many admirers and friends. He was proud of his Cherokee heritage and displayed his connection to the Cherokee nation on his truck. He was a great story teller and jokester. He was a WWII buff and fan of western movies. He loved fishing and always put family first in everything. He will be greatly missed by his family. Mr. Byrd is survived by his loving wife Delilah Byrd, daughters Sandra Byrd Brooks and Teri Byrd Ingram, grandchildren Brittany (David) Wicker, Jackie (Erik) Mietsch, Joshua (Grace) Ingram, Kayla Brooks, Josi (Jay) Krivsky, Jana (Troy) Smigielski, and Lydia Brooks; great grandchildren William Wicker, Owen Wicker, Scarlett Wicker, Harper Krivsky, Ryder Mietsch, and Jayce Krivsky. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 PM to the time of the service at 2:00 PM.
