Donna Sue Clifton Bennett, 85, of Olive Branch, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles “Chuck” M. Bennett, daughter-in-law, Julie Bennett Oliver and a sister, Jean Clifton. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles R. Bennett, son, Randal L. Bennett and his wife Mary, five grandchildren, Justin Bennett (Marianne), Ashley Bledsoe (Jordan), Leslie Cook (Bryan), James Bennett, and John Mark Oliver (Elizabeth), three great-granddaughters, Marjorie Bennett, Annie Kate Bledsoe, Mary Elizabeth Bledsoe and a fourth one on the way. Also, a sister, Pat Szeluga. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church where she served on many different committees, taught children’s Sunday school and often volunteered at the Christian Life Center until she was unable to serve. She loved to cook for her family and have Sunday lunch made for everyone. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 15 from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The committal will immediately follow. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
