Audrey Jean Morris Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15 Audrey Jean Dulin, age 91, of Memphis, Tennessee fell into the loving arms of Jesus her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 10, 2021. She was known by all as a faithful and loving servant of the Lord. Audrey was born in Earle, Arkansas on November 20, 1929 and was preceded in death by her parents Aubrey Edward Dulin and Evie Estelle Boyd Dulin, as well as by her elder sister Elizabeth Bretherick Morris. Her endearing husband Charles Ray Morris died in 2006. Charlie and Audrey were inseparable on earth and are reunited now together with their heavenly Father. Audrey is survived by her younger brother George Edward Dulin, and by her oldest son and his family Chuck and Nancy Morris of Apopka, Florida, along with their sons Charles Ray Morris and James Morris. Audrey is also survived by her youngest son Mark and his wife Cindy Morris of Memphis, along with their daughters and families: Emily and Sam Hawes, Betsy and John Hill, and Kelly and John Irvine. “VoVo” was dearly loved by her great grandchildren: Maddie, Jack, Charlotte Audrey, and Eloise Hill; Margaux, Mabry, and Hays Irvine; and Caleb and Luke Hawes. Audrey was a devoted and adored member of Second Baptist Church. She and the love of her life Charlie retired early from building and selling houses so that they could join the International Mission Board as missionaries. They moved to Kenya, Africa where they used their business skills to support mission work throughout the region. After ten years in Africa, Audrey and Charlie spent their last two years overseas serving the Lord in Singapore. Audrey founded Second Baptist Church’s children’s camp in 1966. Camp Second for children has seen many come to faith in Jesus and it remains part of her legacy, continuing to this day. A memorial service will be held at 11am Thursday, September 16 at Second Baptist Church - 4680 Walnut Grove Road in Memphis. Seating is limited and masks are required due to Covid restrictions.
