Sydney Oswald Small, 84, died at his Memphis home on September 17, 2021. Sydney worked at the Peabody Hotel for over 30 years as a Bell Captain. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joyce Marie Small; seven children, Rawle Smal Read Obituary

Dad, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith, now rest easy in the presence of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Your memories are engraved in our hearts forever.
My father loved to laugh, and would regularly try to get you to laugh with him (though he was not always successful). It was an admirable quality and one that I will not forget. Sometimes a little laughter can provide calm and comfort.
May our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, continue to have mercy and grant our family peace, calm, and comfort at this time.

My condolences to all the family and relatives of my dear Uncle Sydney. I will miss your weekly calls, our long chats and just being there for each other. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and I know you're at peace now. RIP my uncle.
