Tommy E. Roebuck, 93, passed away at his home in Cordova, TN on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Tommy, the youngest of six, was born on September 12, 1925 in Fondren, MS to Ned and Antonia Durastanti. Due to illness of his mother, To Read Obituary
Tommy was such an inspiration to me and my son. I worked for Codes and Tommy and another code guy took my son and let him help build on Tommy’s home on several occasions. The work ethic and precision have stayed with my son to this day. He became a fine man with the encouragement he received.
I had the privilege of growing up next to the Roebuck’s and because of that I have so many fond memories that were shared with Mr. Roebuck and his family. From the cutting down the giant sassafras tree filled with flying squirrels to the fishing trips to Herb Parsons. So much of my adolescences was spent in Mr. Roebuck’s wood shop. Tommy was the type of person who would go out of his way to help anyone, that’s just who he was… an all around great guy!He will be missed by all!
