My fondest memories were of the holidays with our family. Thanksgiving with Grandma, Aunt Janie, Aunt Linda and our Mom in the kitchen whipping up an amazing Thanksgiving Day feast, while Grandpa, Dad and Uncle Harold watched the Macy's parade in the living room. Me, my sister, and our cousin's Damien, Dawn and Daylen all off entertaining ourselves and everybody falling into a tryptophan coma after, then putting up the Christmas Tree in preparation for the next big day together. Every ice sickle had to placed individually and precisely so that the whole thing could be wrapped carefully in "Angel Hair", which turns out was fiber glass. 😁
Waking up Christmas Day and opening gifts with Mom, Dad, and my Sister, then off to Grandma's house to see the family for another incredible home cooked holiday banquet, opening Christmas gifts together, then everybody sitting around enjoying the day together.
I still go to this place in my memories during the holidays and Aunt Janie was a big part of that. I love you Aunt Janie, you will be missed, but are always here in my heart and memories.
