Everett Eugene Orr, 83, passed away July 27, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Sue Orr, his daughter Martha Bennett; and three grandchildren, Autumn Parkey, Elizabeth Rose and Richard Bennett; his sister Zena Mae Pesnell and brother James Orr of El Dorado,Arkansas. Mr. Orr was retired from civil service as an Education Specialist at Memphis Naval Air Station in Millington. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after 20 years. Mr. Orr was a member of the VFW and the FRA. He taught driving classes for AARP for 10 years. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, July 29 from 5-7 p.m. at Memorial Park and services will be Friday, July 30 at 2:30 p.m., also at Memorial Park, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Southwoods. The family asks that any memorials be made to Second Baptist Church or to a charity of their choice.
