After qualifying as a funeral director at the age of 20, I have been serving families of the Memphis area for nearly two decades. As a native Memphian, I believe in providing our families with the utmost care and dignity. I am also involved with numerous industry related organizations.

I have worked in all areas of funeral service. Before joining the staff at Memorial Park I worked with The Celmo Group, Gyokusenin Funeral Homes in Kumamoto and Tokyo, Japan, as General Manager. At Memorial Park my responsibilities include managing the Southwoods Mortuary, the Care Center, and directing services at the Crematory.

I lost my mother suddenly to a heart attack, my father to cancer, a brother-in-law who didn't wake from a nap, and an infant death. I am honored to assist families with Planned Arrangements, and I draw from my personal experiences to help families during their most difficult days. Nothing has more meaning than that. I feel this is God's mission for me. Plus, I get to work in the prettiest park and the finest funeral home in Memphis.

The greatest challenge is educating families on the importance of planning for their future. My satisfaction is showing them that my parents are buried here and my family has preplanned here because it is important that my children do not have to make difficult decisions on the hardest day of their lives.

As a native Memphian, I think Memorial Park’s Crystal Shrine Grotto is Memphis’ most well kept secret. Being an artist myself, I enjoy giving tours of the unique murals, architectural sculptures, water features and the Crystal Shrine Grotto created by artist Dionicio Rodriguez. As a theologian, I appreciate how his artistic representations visually portray the Bible’s Old & New Testament. As a Family Service Professional I encourage families to create good memories at Memorial Park that will last a lifetime.
